Hi everyone, My name is Casey. I am 11 years old and a therapy dog with SCCV. I am an Australian Shepherd from rescue (ARPH) in Michigan and now I have a real family. About six months after I was rescued, we moved to the sunny southwest. We ended up in Cedar Crest, New Mexico and we just love living in the mountains. I had some training in Michigan, but Mom and I started at Acoma and took two or three more classes. We also did some agility classes. Then Mom met some people from SCCV and they asked if we wanted to become a therapy team. We trained in 2009 and started visiting. Oh, what fun! Everyone would pet me and my little tail kept going and going. In 2011 Dad thought he would like to visit, so I took him through his training. We graduated in February 2012. Now I can visit every week with one of them. I need to tell you, my life really started when I was adopted because I love my extended family here and in Michigan. I love all my friends in SCCV, canine or human. LIFE IS GOOD, CASEY.
